ABOUT ME
Let me tell you a little bit about how this all started and what we are about.
My Story
My name is Sally, and I am a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner; I am also a mother to Hugo (3) and Thea (1). Having Thea inspired me to learn crocheting, which helps me relax after busy days with the kids. Watching my kids engage in imaginative play with my creations has been wonderful, and I would love to share my hobby with other kids and families. I operate my small business out of my home in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Most of my creations are made to order, allowing me to customise your product according to your color preferences. For a personal touch I can add a first initial to many of the animal creations. If you're looking for something specific that is not on my product list, please reach out through the contact form, and I will do my best to create what you envision.
Play
Play is a vital activity for babies, allowing them to explore their surroundings and understand new information. The experiences they gain through play contribute to the development and strengthening of connections in their growing brains. In the early years, babies create far more connections than their brains will ultimately require. The connections that are frequently used become stronger and develop into more intricate networks. Play is essential for brain development, it provides babies and young children with opportunities to gain new experiences and refine their existing skills, thereby enhancing their brain connections.

Anyone who has children or has spent time with young kids understands that exploring the world by putting things in their mouths is a natural part of their play and development. Crochet toys are perfect for this purpose, as they provide relief for sore teething gums and can be easily washed for the next day’s play.
THE ART OF CROCHET
Crochet is a craft that involves using a crochet hook to create fabric from yarn, thread, or other materials. The word "crochet" comes from the French word croche, which means "hook". Amigurumi is a Japanese art form of crocheting or knitting small, stuffed toys. The word comes from the Japanese words ami, meaning "crocheted or knitted", and nuigurumi, meaning "stuffed doll".

Crocheting is a deeply satisfying craft. Almost anything can be created using a vibrant array of colors, shades, and textures. I personally enjoy using natural fibers such as 100% cotton or cotton blends, which are machine washable and reduce pilling.
